Pending Legislation
The Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill, 2010
proposes comprehensive reforms to simplify the asylum procedure in Ireland. The Bill proposes to integrate the processes for dealing with all applications for protection into a unified process (known as a single procedure). This will result in applicants for protection receiving a complete decision as to whether they will be permitted to remain in the State, in a timely and efficient manner.
