Prioritisation of Applications

Section 12 of the Refugee Act 1996 grants the Minister for Justice and Equality the right to prioritise certain classes of applications based on criteria, including, among others, country of origin, the grounds on which the application is made, prior application in another country, having a right of residence in a country designated as safe or providing false or misleading information.
