Research Visa for Scientific Researchers

• Fully completed and signed application form
• Passport, valid for at least 12 months
• Hosting Agreement with accredited Research Organisation
• Contract of employment if issued by the Research Organisation

Accompanying family members

Spouses and minor dependant children can accompany the Researcher to Ireland.  It is not necessary for the Researcher to first take up the research post before the family members can apply for a visa.

A spouse of a Researcher must complete a separate visa application and the following documentation must be provided:

• Fully completed and signed application form
• Passport, valid for at least 12 months
• Clear copy of spouse's passport, showing evidence of Research Visa
• Marriage Certificate
• Birth Certificate for children under 18 years of age
