Permission for other reasons

You must have permission to be in Ireland. Find out how to prepare for border control, if you need a visa & more. These can affect your application in important ways.

Bring an adopted child into Ireland

Apply for an Immigration Clearance Letter to bring an adopted child (who is not an Irish national) into Ireland for the first time.

Dual-citizen passport endorsement (Stamp 6)

Apply for Without Condition (Stamp 6) if you a naturalised Irish citizen with dual-citizenship and you travel with your non-Irish passport.

Stamp 6 allows you to travel to Ireland and stay without condition, subject to normal immigration and border procedures.

Reactivate an employment permit

Apply for the Reactivation Employment Permit Scheme if your permission to work expired through no fault of your own, eg exploitation.
