Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal 

This body operates a Scheme of Compensation for Personal Injuries Criminally Inflicted, introduced in 1974. The Scheme provides for ex-gratia compensation in respect of expenses and losses incurred as a result of personal injuries directly attributable to a crime of violence or sustained while helping or trying to help prevent a crime or save a human life.

Parole Board 

This body advises the Minister on the administration of the sentences of persons whose cases have been referred to the board and, where temporary release is recommended, the conditions which should attach to any such release.

State Pathology Service
