Charitable Lotteries Scheme 

The Charitable Lotteries Scheme was established in 1997 to provide funds from the proceeds of the National Lottery to supplement the income of private charitable lotteries whose products are competing directly with the National Lottery. 

The scheme relates to bodies engaged in charitable activities, which were operating a lottery under the provisions of Gaming and Lottery legislation on or before 1 January 1997.  

There were 19 applications for funding received in 2011, of which all 19 qualified for funding. Details of payments made under the 2011 Scheme are available to download here.
