Regular cross-border meetings, including an annual seminar, are held between law enforcement officials from both sides of the border and officials of the Department of Justice Northern Ireland and The Department of Justice and Equality to ensure that organised crime is tackled in a co-ordinated and effective manner.
Arising from this co-operation, there is an ongoing assessment of the cross-border organised crime threat, which is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that it reflects changes in the nature of cross-border organised crime.
