The Interdepartmental Committee to Combat DVD Piracy was formed with a view to identifying the scope for improved interdepartmental coordination in combating DVD piracy. The group met with industry representatives, invited submissions from the public and held discussions concerning the issues arising. In January, 2008 the Group was reconstituted to finalise and put into effect a range of recommendations arising from its discussions.
