As part of the National Disability Strategy, six Government departments have developed sectoral plans setting out the programme of measures that they (and any public body under their aegis) will undertake in relation to the provision of services for people with disabilities. The six departments are:
- Health and Children
- Social and Family Affairs
- Environment, Heritage and Local Government
- Transport
- Communications, Marine and Natural Resources
- Enterprise, Trade and Employment
