Diversity & Equality
The Diversity & Equality Law Division is responsible for developing the policy and legal framework to advance equal opportunities and to promote the development of a more equal society
- in the area of employment and family friendly policies and
- in the access to goods, facilities and services
We work to promote greater respect for the person and for diversity, equality and cultural difference, primarily through legislative and administrative mechanisms.
We have a particular focus on implementing a policy to combat racism and to promote an inclusive society.
We also act in a liaison capacity between the Department, the Equality Tribunal and the Equality Authority.
