A notice that Section 24 of the Maternity Protection (Amendment) Act 2004, which amends Schedule 3 of the Redundancy Payments Act 1967 (as amended), has come into operation. The amendment takes account of the new rights in the 2004 Act to time off to attend antenatal classes and in respect of breastfeeding so that such time off does not constitute a break in continuity of service for the purposes of calculating redundancy payments; the order giving effect to these changes in legislation is also included.
