In response to a call for proposals issued under the EU Progress Funding Programme in 2012, Ireland has submitted an application to the European Commission for an action grant to support national activities aiming at combating discrimination and promoting equality. A national framework document, prepared by Diversity & Equality Law Division of the Department of Justice and Equality for the purpose of participation in this programme, identifies the priorities and challenges for 2012-2013 at national level in the fight against discrimination.
